We are now looking for a Project Controller – ERP Implementation
 

We are seeking a dynamic Project Controller to support Billeruds transformative initiative, the Atlas Program. The purpose of Atlas is to create a global platform where we can work as One Billerud. This will be done by implementing a new business solution, including harmonized system, data and ways of working. We are looking for an experience project controller with sharp analytical skills and business insight to help us navigate this journey.


As the Project Controller for the Atlas ERP Project, you will be responsible for all financial controlling activities related to the project. You will own the total business case financials and ensure proactive follow-up on actuals vs. plan, supporting the Project Management Office (PMO) in making informed decisions with impactful financial insights. You will also manage CAPEX vs. OPEX assessments and ensure accurate cost allocation and invoice tracking.


 
Your main tasks will be: 

  • Lead the financial management of the project’s business case, including continuous follow-up on actuals vs. forecasts.
  • Provide the PMO with decision support through analysis of financial implications, risk assessments, and scenario planning.
  • Own and manage CAPEX vs. OPEX assessments and provide regular updates to the project team.
  • Oversee the invoice tracking and reconciliation through the Basware system, ensuring timely follow-up on payments vs. the project plan.
  • Review and assess IT cost allocation setups, and lead any necessary changes in alignment with project requirements.

 

As a Project Controller for the Atlas Program, you will work closely with one other Project Controller, collaborating to ensure seamless financial management of this transformative initiative. You will have a dotted line to the Vice President of Group Finance but will report directly to the CFO.

 

The position is based in Stockholm, Solna, and is a temporary role until December 31st, 2025, with the potential for extension depending on project needs and future business requirements.

To succeed in this position, we believe you have:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience within controlling, preferably with significant experience dedicated to project controlling of large-scale or long-term projects.
  • Solid understanding of CAPEX vs. OPEX assessments and business case financial management.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and consolidation systems, with strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and project management offices, to drive performance and process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.

 

Experience within a large-scale ERP implementation or IT-related projects is plus.
