Key Account Manager - Germany
Preem is Sweden’s largest fuel company. Our vision is to lead the transition toward a sustainable society. By 2035 Preem will produce 5 million cubic meters of renewable fuels and achieve climate neutrality. Our two refineries are among the most modern and environmentally adapted in Europe with a refining capacity of over 18 million cubic meters per year. The business we are in includes trading, production, distribution and sales. We refine and sell fuel, heating and lubricating oil as well as other products to companies and individuals.
Two thirds of our production is exported to the international market, mainly to northwestern Europe. Preem has a nationwide service network in Sweden with 520 filling stations for private and commercial traffic. Preem has around 1,500 employees, of which 1,100 work at our refineries. In 2023, Preem’s turnover was SEK 138 billion.

We are now looking for a Key Account Manager to build and develop the local business in Germany. An exciting opportunity to expand Preem’s business within the bio- and liquid fuels industry in Central Europe. You will be responsible for sales to local customers – e.g wholesalers, resellers and retailers.
The position is located in Hamburg, Germany. Travel is expected with this role.

Specific tasks & responsibilities
- Identify and develop business opportunities in the biofuels/ liquid fuels industry in mainly Germany, but also in other central European markets.
- Develop and implement sales strategies in line with Preem's strategy.
- Sell Preem's products and solutions to primarily new customers and build a portfolio of customers with a focus on biofuels.
- Create and maintain strong business relationships and networks with a long term perspective.
Your background, competences & skills
- 5-10 years relevant experience in sales and commercial roles in the liquid fuels industry, focusing on the local market (wholesalers, resellers, retailers).
- Strategic and commercial experience and mindset with an extensive professional network.
- Regional experience, including language and cultural understanding.
- Native level language skills in German.
- Strong professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Good knowledge in ERP system and MS Office applications.
Meritorious
- Multilingual capabilities.
- Experience in the biofuels/green energy sector including e.g. reporting, regulations, and sustainability requirements for biofuels (reduction obligations, sales requirements, Fit for 55’ and other EU regulations).
- Familiar with local laws and regulations linked to sustainability and renewable products.
