About the role
As our Quality Manager you will lead our Quality Control team, overseeing laboratory testing, ensuring product quality, and managing resources for 24/7 operations. This role is essential for maintaining continuous production and upholding the highest quality standards. You will supervise and mentor our team of lab technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Conduct thorough quality tests and resolve issues through root cause analysis to maintain our high standards.

  • Quality control techniques, including testing methods for particle size distribution, moisture content, and other key product properties
  • Managing and leading a team of laboratory personnel and coordinating resources efficiently
  • Preparing and conducting internal and external audits for ISO and other certifications
  • Developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) in laboratory settings
  • Safety protocols and incident investigation procedures, with an understanding of health & safety and environmental (HSE) regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to maintain and update plant certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISCC PLUS/EU and other types of certificates required
  • Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with standards and collaborate with different departments to prepare for external audits
  • Maintain a rigorous sampling and analysis system across multiple sampling points, ensuring accurate monitoring of product quality
  • Ensure all documents and processes align with the standards, working closely with administration and other departments to maintain accuracy and compliance
  • Develop, review, and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality management practices
  • Ensure and administrate sufficient management system

Qualifications and experience
To qualify for the position of Quality Manager we believe that you have extensive laboratory experience, ideally within the process or chemical industry, and a strong understanding of safe handling practices for hydrocarbons and hazardous chemicals. You possess expertise in quality control techniques, including particle size distribution and moisture content testing, ensuring accurate and reliable results in each analysis. This role also requires proven experience in managing laboratory teams, coordinating resources efficiently, and driving productivity without compromising safety or quality standards. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Preferred certifications in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems
  • Proficient in using LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and ERP systems
  • Skilled in conducting and preparing for ISO and other certification audits
  • Competence in developing SOPs and upholding safety protocols, including HSE regulations and incident investigations
  • Fluent in the Swedish and English language

Tyre Recycling Uddevalla AB is part of a new joint venture initiative, promoted and owned by Antin Infrastructure Partners, a leading infrastructure investment fund, Scandinavian Enviro System, a Swedish technology company that has developed a unique and patented technology for the extraction of carbon black and pyrolysis oil from end-of-life tyres, and Michelin, a leading worldwide manufacturer of tyres. The aim of the joint venture is to create the world's first large-scale tyre recycling group, entirely powered by Enviro proprietary technology and whose first plant is the one being built in Uddevalla.
