About the role

We offer you a unique opportunity to lead others in consultative sales at the same time as you will have a key role in the development of sales strategies on a global company level. You will be responsible for the sales department which currently consists of 9 sales engineers and 3 sales assistants.

As a leader, you are expected to contribute to developing your employees in working strategically with different types of projects that often have long sales cycles, as well as deepening relationships with customers and partners. A large part of your time will be spent on coaching and developing your staff based on concrete customer projects.

As a General Sales Manager, you will set goals and budgets for the department as well as follow up and analyze results. You will be part of our management team and report to the managing director. The role also includes building networks with other sales managers in Europe and being part of overall global sales and marketing related projects.

You are expected to spend a large part of your working hours outside the office together with your own sales representatives, colleagues from other Group companies and in meetings with our business partners. The position involves travel within the Nordic region and Europe and in some cases globally.

The responsibilities

  • To coach and sharpen the business acumen and efficiency of your sales team.
  • Provide long-term solid support to the sales team in their daily work.
  • To set and follow-up company, as well as individual, goals and sales budgets.
  • Together with your team, set the local sales strategies for new and existing markets.
  • By joint efforts with your European counterparts, proactively forge global sales and marketing strategies.

Skills & qualifications

  • You will have a minimum of a couple of years’ experience in managing a sales or customer services team.
  • You have a degree in electronics engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • You have a goal-oriented mindset with a strong drive for sales and excellent business acumen.
  • You possess excellent communication skills, business-level English, and exhibit a proactive team-player attitude.
  • You have strong social skills and a long-term mindset and thrive to work with demanding clients at an international level.
  • Knowledge of any Nordic language is an advantage and you need to live within commuting distance from our office in Kista/Stockholm.
