District manager Building Skanska Sweden - Örebro

The district you will lead includes Örebro and its surroundings and Skaraborg with Skövde as the main town. We build new and renovate for example offices, schools, preschools, housing and hospitals - always with focus on quality, sustainability and satisfied customers.

District manager with a focus on customer, market and business
As a district manager at Skanska, you are overall responsible for goals and strategies and for driving projects in a sustainable way and in harmony with our values and working methods.
The main focus of your role is:
- Business, customer and market work with a focus on profitability, climate, and sustainability
- Sales and tender work based on a long-term strategic plan and well-developed priorities
- Leadership - attracting, recruiting, developing employees, and building succession
- Collaboration and cooperation
You and your employees work closely with our customers and partners within and outside Skanska. The local understanding of the market in Örebro, as well as network and presence in the geography, are prerequisites for this recruitment.
Together with your management team, you lead the district and the development of the business and you are part of the region's management team.
You report to regional manager Building West and the position is based in Örebro. Travel is part of the job to be present in the market and among employees in the district and a driver's license is a requirement for this recruitment.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is genuinely motivated by long-term work with customers, market, business and sustainable profitability. You have previously had overall responsibility for goals, strategies and finances within the construction area or other project operations. You know the market in the geography and have an extensive network, especially in Örebro. Leadership is close to your heart, and you have several years of experience as a manager with personnel responsibility. You have a university or civil engineering degree in, for example, civil engineering, surveying, economics or equivalent work experience.
For this position you need to have excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
As a person you are curious, positive and solution oriented. Through stability, trust and involvement you build relationships and allow others to take responsibility, grow and develop. Collaboration and cooperation are in your DNA as is the ability to see the big picture for projects, the district, the region and Skanska.
